The kittens from our T2 litter are the first offspring of our young breeding cats. Marcela and Typhoon grew up together, and young Typhoon was head over heels in love with his tabby girl. They are also proud show cats, both having earned several titles and trophies from the show stage. However, their romance took a bit longer than expected, and the litter arrived just in time for spring (as promised).
When choosing the names, the tabby boy’s name came to me naturally. In honor of our beloved SC EE*Mercedes Sweet Katicat (the grandmother), all the kittens received a second name starting with the letter M—just like SerenaMaria did earlier. I find the appearance of the girls in this litter to be rather extraordinary. It seems something interesting has come through from the father’s side of the pedigree. I’m very curious to see how they grow and develop.
So far, I’ve noticed tabby markings on only two of the kittens, so it looks like we have two striped ones and one plain brown little nugget. The kittens are already toddling around their nest nicely, and it won’t be long before they start exploring further and venturing out.
